Celebrity chef’ influence spreads wider.

Abeer Bafaqih, who runs Daisy Day Nursery in Cardiff, is serving up homemade lunches after a survey of parents revealed good food was on the list of top priorities.

The change in attitude coincides with the national debate over the quality of school meals, brought into the spotlight last week when celebrity chef Jamie Oliver delivered a petition signed by more than 270,000 people calling for better food for schoolchildren.

Abeer said: "They want their children to be happy, but not to the extent of them being fed anything". She added "it means our food bill is higher than normal".
