Nursery Values

Daisy Day Nursery has a superb, dedicated and carefully selected team of managers and staff who are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment where ‘learning through play’ ensures your child’s days in nursery are happy and fun. At Daisy Day Nursery we believe that paramount to a child’s happy and healthy development is a caring and warm environment in which they feel comfortable to express themselves – thus building self-confidence and developing their own individuality.

All nursery activities are based around current curriculum guidelines for the under 5’s (Birth to Three Matters for the 0-3’s and The Foundation Phase for the over 3’s) and form the basis of the nursery’s daily routine. We have a themed approach to planning activities.

At Daisy Day Nursery we are registered to care for 54 boys and girls between the ages of 6 weeks and their 5th birthday, split into cosy groups.

Security & Safety

The safety of children is a high priority and we operate a range of procedures to ensure that access to our premises is restricted to staff and parents. Each room in the building is protected by a coded lock and a fingerprint security system is used for dropping off and collecting children.

Parent Care

We know that parents want to feel a part of their child’s daily activities and development. We are committed to keeping you informed of your child’s progress in many ways including a parent’s focus group, a daily diary of your child’s activities, regular newsletters, parents evenings and an open invitation to chat to us about your child’s progress.

Quality

We are proud to be members of the National Day Nurseries Association and the Wales Preschool Playgroups Association and maintain high quality standards in everything we do.

Respect

As your child grows we aim to lead by example, establishing an environment of mutual respect, which promotes self esteem in each child and helps to build self-confidence providing them with a solid foundation to life. We believe it is important to allow the children in our care to express themselves as individuals and, at the same time, teach them the importance of listening to what others have to say.
